Stay an extra night and explore. Lake Broadwater Conservation Park, approx 20 min drive from Dalby is the only large, naturally-occurring freshwater lake on the Darling Downs and is home for waterbirds and other wildlife that seek refuge at the lake and surrounding vegetation.
The lake is popular for picnicking, walking and bird watching at any time of year; as well as power-boating, skiing, canoeing and swimming when conditions are suitable.
Visitors can stroll along the two kilometre track joining the two camping areas or take the five kilometre (return) self-guided drive.
